Work Placement Opportunities 2025/2026

Location: Remote within UK / AT / NL / IT / GR

We are seeking an intern to join our team and play a key role in supporting the development and business processes. You’ll be working at the intersection of finance and technology, handling complex credit datasets that power our AI-driven analytics platform used by major European financial institutions. 

As part of a lean, agile team, you’ll have significant autonomy in your work while being supported by experienced colleagues. You’ll interact directly with business stakeholders, gaining valuable insight into how data drives real-world financial outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technologist who is eager to take responsibility, work on impactful projects, and grow within a fintech environment. All internships are paid and have a minimum length of three months with some flexibility. Work is performed remotely with the option to come to the London (UK) office occasionally. 

Available Opportunities:

1. Data Processing Pipelines

Support the development and management of our manual, semi-automated and fully automated data and reporting pipelines for loan portfolio and securitisation data. Interns will contribute to the development and maintenance of backend development projects. Interns should have experience in Python or R and should be familiar with GitHub. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve existing data processing pipelines
  • Collaborate in the development of automated ETL and data quality processes
  • Support AI-based data mapping and extraction from structured and unstructured sources (Excel/PDF)
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of in-house R and python libraries

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, coding skills, and data fluency
  • Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis 
  • Familiarity with git and version control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in a STEM field with strong coding skills

2. AI Workflows & Agentic Development

Support the ongoing development of Accuria’s AI workflows and the development of AI Data Agent by getting involved in feature development. This work can cover many facets such as enhancing unstructured document parsing tools, implementing and improving extraction and classification processes, developing multi-agentic frameworks and creating evaluation routines.

Interns will contribute both to backend and full-stack development projects. Interns should have experience in Python and should be familiar with agentic AI frameworks. 

Potential projects:

  • Enhanced Testing & Evaluation Framework
    • Build an automated testing suite to evaluate the reliability and replicability of AI/agentic workflows.
    • Design benchmark datasets to stress-test extraction, classification, and reasoning modules.
    • Implement performance dashboards that track accuracy, latency, and consistency of AI agents.
  • Document Parsing & Context Processing
    • Improve document parsing pipelines for unstructured documents such as contracts, financial reports, and scanned documents.
    • Develop preprocessing routines to structure information for downstream AI agents.
  • Advanced Document Parsing & OCR Deep-dive
    • Evaluate internal document parsing tools against a range of commercial and open source document parsing and OCR libraries and assess their performance across different languages, document structures and image quality.
    • Propose, implement, and test improvements using the same evaluation criteria.
    • (Optional) Fine-tune a document parsing process including OCR for accurately extracting text from Greek documents.
  • Advanced Market Research Tool
    • Develop a multi-agentic workflow to extract structured insights from unstructured sources (e.g. news, filings, websites). Implement quality checks and feedback loops to maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of information.
    • Enhance and expand a database of investors using the aforementioned workflow and  commercial research tools.
    • Create standardised investor profiles to ensure consistency across the database.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, coding skills, and data fluency
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with frameworks such as pydantic-ai, deepeval, LangChain or similar
  • Understanding of LLM basics
  • Familiarity with git and version control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in a STEM field with strong coding skills
